The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Review

“And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Charlie is starting freshman year of high school, and has a little trouble adjusting. His best friend Michael has committed suicide, and he has no other friends. If you were to describe Charlie, you would use adjectives like special, sensitive, emotional, and nice. He's probably one of the nicest people on this green earth.

He's the true definition of a wallflower. The book is narrated through letters from Charlie to an unnamed person. He choses not to disclose his true identity to the person, because doesn't want to person to know who he is, and to never find out.

Charlie has internal struggles, he doesn't feel close to anyone in his family, except for his Aunt Helen, who passed away on his seventh birthday. Every year he has a hard time celebrating, because he believes he's the cause of why she's gone.
“So, I guess we are who we are for alot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.”
Even though Charlie is a shy wallflower, he befriends Patrick and Sam. Charlie has feelings for Sam, but he feel's that he has no chance in being with Sam.
“There's nothing like deep breaths after laughing that hard. Nothing in the world like a sore stomach for the right reasons.”
Then there's Bill. Bill is probably one of my FAVORITE characters, because I think he truly understands Charlie. Bill is Charlie's English teacher, and he recommends some of the best books to Charlie. But while he's recommending and lending Charlie this books, I think he's teaching him. He encourage Charlie to write essays, which is helping Charlie express himself better to the anonymous receiver of his letters.

Follow Charlie's story as he gains new experiences through-out his high school year. You'll see him grow, and understand more. Most people have had that period in their lives where they feel like they just don't fit in, and that's what makes this story good. A view through a wallflower's eyes.

I promise you'll grow attached to Charlie as you learn about his troubling past, and his beautiful personality.

“He's a wallflower. You see things. You keep quiet about them. And you understand.”

New Music Tuesday

Featured artist

Last week my best friend introduced me to one of the hottest songs I've heard in awhile, but what makes the song better is that it's not from Drake, Kanye, or 2 Chainz. No this is from a young up and coming artist who's amazing if I do say so myself and who I needed to get my hands on before he blows up and Vibe and The Source are fighting each other for an exclusive interview with him. So as a special treat New Music Tuesday has a spotlight feature artist.

Quita is a 24 year old Dominican senior at Stony Brook University, from the Bronx, NY, currently finishing his last semester and working a part time job. His childhood was a mixture of both crazy friends and focusing on school. He had a lot of bad influences but his family kept him grounded and helped him propel to where he is now.

When asked what made him want to get into music and who inspired him he answered, "I never grew up listening to hip hop, it was more Micheal Jackson and older music. That kind of got me into writing poetry and then after listening to hip hop everyday for like 3/4 years I was addicted. So I took what I knew from poetry and applied it to rap. The one person who inspired me the MOST (other than the Jays, and the Kanyes) was Kendrick Lamar. I like that there is substance to his raps, and emotions. That made me want to get into writing raps."

Quita is a proud brother of Sigma Lambda Beta fraternity inc. it was actually his frat brother (my best friend thanks Los for making me listen) who told me about him, so those of you Greeks who are wondering if he performs at any Greek events he has performed poetry but not his music yet, but look out for him in the near future cause you might see your LB blowing the place up!

So where does this up and coming artist see himself in five years if he's not at the MTV awards rapping the roof off the place? "If I don't make it in music then I will make it in acting. I honestly feel like you can accomplish whatever you set out to accomplish."

If you're wondering who he's working with to make his music well don't wonder any longer, this young artist says he's been blessed to work with a really good artist named QWAACK. He even quoted what his mentor has said to him, "you always had it in you, now I just want to help you sharpen it."

Great words to hear from someone who is supporting him and helping him make his dreams come true right? Yeah, we thought so too.

So my last question to him was what did he have to say to you the readers who will hopefully go out and listen to his music and he said, and I'm quoting here so don't think I'm trying to make him sound all deep and humble (he's clearly very humble and being a poet deep haha), "I figured out that the key to making great music is being yourself while at the same time being relatable.  All my experiences in my raps are all me, either where I've been or where I'm trying to go. I like telling the stories of where I grew up while still staying true to who I was (never gang affiliated or drugs). I love productive criticism it only helps to better the artist so when ever listening to any of my projects feel free to comment to let me know where I can get better cause after all I'm just a student of the music."

To say it was a pleasure to get to interview him (even if it was via email) would be an understatement. This is clearly someone who's passionate about his music and appreciates that people are taking the time to listen to him. A very talented young hard working man, who's going to (mock my words) make it no matter what. So when you see him on MTV or BET remember that you read it here first.

To listen to his single "Where U Been At" click the link, listen and vote for him. We hoped you enjoyed this interview and getting to know a bit about the future of music. http://coast2coastmixtapes.com/audiodetail.aspx?audioid=229675

Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren Review

Where do I begin with this one? Chloe Mills is a strong willed, smart, hard working woman who doesn't take shit from anyone..not even her ass hat of a prick boss Bennett Ryan.

Mr.Ryan is a prick in every sense of the word, he's a total dick who only knows how to slam doors, yell, and criticize but aside from all of that he's also a hot piece of ass. A specimen of a man that makes woman fall for him. He's irresistible, but then again aren't all men that look like Adonis and are hung like gods? He's a beautiful bastard indeed.

One mistake is all that it took, one late night at work and Chloe and Bennett lost it. There was no more hiding the attraction, there was only more..

But she wasn't going to let her career end before it started, there is no way should would be known as the woman who fucker her way to the top. But Bennett won't just let her go, not after he had fallen for her smart mouth quick witted ways.

So what happens when you try to combine love and work? Can you work for the man you love? Or do you have to risk it all...but who ends up losing in the end? Your career or your love life?

Beautiful Bastard is sexy, funny, cute and deliciously sinful a great book, a great read. I definitely recommend this book. 5 beautiful bastard stars.

The Vampire Diaries Recap 4x15

STAND BY ME..

This episode has got to be one of the most powerful episodes of season 4, I didn't even want to write this recap, but it's a must and emotions can't come between priorities.

When Elena finds Jeremy's body on the floor and without a pulse she breaks down..( can't say I blame her since it's her brother, the only family she has..had left )

Stefan goes back to Mystic Falls with her and Jeremy's body, Damon stayed behind looking for Bonnie but ends up finding Rebekah. She asks Damon where the cure is because she knows that someone has it, and Damon let's her know that yes its true someone does have the cure the one and only Katherine of course.

While walking together Damon comes across the vampire hunter who captured him and ties him up and makes him talk. Damon knew that the hunter knew how Katherine was aware of there whereabouts and how to get to the cure...after a little pep talk from Rebekah (which by the way as creepy as it was she's deliciously evil) he let them know that he met Katherine in New Orleans and she led the way to Silas.

Damon and Bonnie share a hug, now if you're an avid TVD watcher you know their relationship and that hug that they gave each other was beautiful. I totally ship Bonnie and Damon as friends.

Back in MF Stefan is talking to Caroline about how Elena is in denial and how she's not coping well with what's going on, Elena thinks that the ring can bring him back to life but it can't..Jeremy was one of the 5 vampire hunters aka a supernatural and the ring doesn't work for the supernatural. So yes Jeremy is dead and my heart was broken, shattered, stepped on and ripped into a million pieces...oh Jeremy.

Can we take a moment to acknowledge Matt please? Matt is the only human, not supernatural person who in my opinion matters in the show, and when he saw that Jer was dead his facial expression broke my heart. Matt has been through so much in this season alone and now seeing his best friend dead, well he could have easily broken down. But not Matt, no he's strong himself and even more for Elena.

"This town, this crazy ass world we live in, sometimes not being willing to accept that someone is gone is because maybe they're not. At least not completely." - Matt.

So in this episode professor shady pants is a lot more shady and during this episode I had a gut feeling that something wasn't right and so my gut felt it so it should be. Silas took the form of professor shady pants and is fooling Bonnie into thinking she needs to finish what has been started to get Jeremy back. But will/can Bonnie really kill 12 innocent people and bring back ALL of the supernatural undead to bring Jer back?

Elena has a breakdown once she's out of the denial phase and realizes that she needs to make up a cover story as to what happen to Jeremy, she wants to set the house on fire and burn it down. Stefan tells Damon to help her so using his sire bond he tells Elena to shut it off, to let it go...

She shuts off her humanity...

Outside Stefan and Damon are talking and Stefan tells Damon that her humanity is all she has left, Damon knows that but it was what was best for her at the moment. Elena wouldn't have been okay, and Damon did what he had to, pain demands to be felt..that is unless you don't feel at all.

In that moment when Stefan and Damon are outside talking Damon tells Stefan she wasn't going to handle it unless she shut her humanity off, because what good is humanity when all your loved ones are gone? Stefan says but she has you, and Damon tells him "I'm not enough, not this time. She lost her brother!" At that moment Stefan realized that Damon in a way was trying to tell him that a brother is everything, and once you lose that you have nothing..In their own way Stefan and Damon told each other that they love each other that the bond of brothers is more important than anything. It was beautiful.

To end the recap Elena burns the house down, with Jeremy's body inside..(by then I broke down and was crying more than I have at an actual nonfiction death.)

This episode was intense, I was not emotionally or mentally ready for all that happen in this episode..it was amazing, painful, beautiful, and tragic.

Let us know what you think of this episode.

"Because in the end, when you lose somebody, every candle, every prayer is not going to mke up for the fact that the only thing you have left is a hole in your life where that somebody that you cared about used to be."

50 Shades of Erotica

By Oriana G.

Its been said that since the phenomenon of 50 Shades of Grey more authors are coming out with erotic, BDSM themed stories. Can they thank E.L James for paving the way? Well yes and no, erotica books have been written since long before Christian and Anastasia made their way into our bookshelves, but they weren't as accepted by the public until now. E.L has definitely broken down barriers when it comes to whats acceptable now a days in our libraries and even more what us ladies find acceptable in our bedrooms (if you know what I mean ;)).

Erotic books have been around for many many years, my mother herself has said and I quote, "When I was younger I remember sneaking around reading erotic stories with my sisters thinking, if my mother or father caught me it would be totally worth it." My mothers favorite gift this year was Fifty Shades of Grey the trilogy, I couldn't be selfish and keep Christian all to myself. But would it have been acceptable for my mother to gift her mother a book like Fifty Shades back then? Definitely not! My grandmother as open minded as she was, would've probably had a heart attack reading about what Christian can do with a tie and handcuffs.

The phenomenon of this trilogy which has been nicknamed mommy porn has become a book that seems to bring women of all over the world together swooning over the main character Christian Grey, (and honestly I can't blame them, Mr.Grey is totally swoon worthy).

Here's a bit from an article of  "The female phenomenon of "50 Shades of Grey" written by Sara Underwood (FOX25 / MyFoxBoston)

Dr. Karen Ruskin is a psychotherapist who says women are attracted to the main character's confidence and creativity in the bedroom.

"What the men aren't getting is that you got to do more than just… are you in the mood? Or just like roll over and touch her," says Dr. Ruskin.

Dr. Ruskin also shared some thoughts that men should take away from Christian Grey's actions.

"Women want to be taken", she says, "They want to be wanted. Women are exhausted from communicating about what they want all day long to their man and want their man just to know what they want."

Woman want to be taken...ladies can we all agree with that statement? I hope we can, because it certainly is true. Men don't understand that there is nothing sexier than a man who knows how to get us and use us to our full advantage. Women want to be seduced and lured in, our inner goddess wants to do a floor show for the men in our life who bring out the naughty in us.

Well one thing is for sure, Mr. Grey has paved the way for other steamy, dominant, sexy fictional characters; such as Gideon Cross from the Crossfire Series (Bared to You, Reflected in You, and the anticipated third installment Entwined with You), Professor Emerson (Gabriel's Inferno and Rapture) and so many more other sexy delicious men who now grace our book shelves and dreams. ;)

Now of course there are many people who think that FSOG isn't appropriate or isn't a well written story and have their own negative opinions. There's also some real life doms and subs who think that this story isn't accurately portrayed according to the BDSM lifestyle, but pish posh. E.L did an amazing job in the opinions of thousands of women who say that thanks to Mr.Grey their husbands, boyfriends, lovers whatever it may be, have learned from him and have made their love life steamy. (how deliciously sinful)

So can you thank Fifty Shades of Grey for letting it be ok and acceptable to read about erotica, and to be open about what you want in bed without shame? Whether the answer is yes or no, Fifty Shades has definitely paved the way for many new erotic stories.

ATLAS GENIUS

If you're a fan of Passion Pit or Imagine Dragons (like Tanisha), its quite possible you're already a fan of Atlas Genius.

Atlas Genius is a fairly new group, established in 2011, and are well on their way. Two of my favorite songs off their new album When It Was Now are "Trojans" and "If So".

I first heard  their song randomly on Tumblr, and then someone like my photo on Instagram. When I went to their page, they had Atlas Genius all over their page. Soo...of course I had to check them out.

You're probably thinking I favor a lot of Indie (well..yeah I do) but, they are well worth giving a listen to. If you like them (told you so), leave a comment and let me know.

Currently they are on tour. You can check out their tour list here. But hurry, because most of their shows are sold out.

ONEREPUBLIC

First, check out that album cover. That is awesome album art right there. I wonder if they sell theirs like Sleeping at Last does? I'll find out.

On February 4, 2012, OneRepublic announced on their twitter page that they would be coming out with a new album. After many delays and date changes, they've finally finished recording.

Ladies and gentlemen, here is NATIVE!

Okay, so I know their NEW album doesn't come out until March 26th, I'm still über excited! I've already put the release date in my planner, and will be ready for iTunes at 11:59 pm on the 25th.

This will be OneRepublic's third studio album, and probably the best yet. For some reason, OneRepublic has a tendency to get better and better after releasing an album. But I might be a biased opinion.

For all our European followers, OneRepublic will be a month long tour in April. Click here to see the list of cities they will be stopping in.

The Vampire Diaries Recap 4x14

Down the rabbit hole...

This episode was emotionally too much for me and T to handle..its safe to say that we shed tears and no we're not ashamed.

Let's begin with the fact that one of the 5 vampire hunters has captured Damon!! Not for nothing but even tied up and captured Damon is delicious and sarcastically funny. *swoon*

Klaus speaking another language has to be THE SEXIEST thing ever! He helped Caroline and Tyler translate the map..but of course there was a reason for that.

THERE'S ONLY ONE CURE!!! *dum dum dum*

Didn't see that one coming did you? Yeah neither did we.

When Rebekah finds Damon she tries to help him out but one the hunter shoots her, Stefan then comes and helps him out.

Now let's talk about how ONCE AGAIN Damon does something selfless and sends Stefan to help Elena to find the cure because he rather have her and Stefan happy. He accepted that you can't control everything. So once Stefan has freed him, Damon pulls out the bullets or whatever they're called out of Rebekah and she acknowledges that Damon might be becoming a half decent person.

Personally I always thought Damon was more than a decent person, I mean come on!

Klaus gives Tyler a head start! Can we please talk about the fact that the most dangerous and evil original actually gave anyone a chance to run for their life simply because Caroline asked him too!!!

Seriously if Caroline can't see how much Klaus loves her this should be a hint.
(I totally ship team Kloraline.♥)

Tyler and Caroline share the sweetest moment saying goodbye..it tugged at my heart. my broken heart.. It's not a goodbye Tyler..we'll see you soon. *crying*

Oh in case you're wondering professor shady pants has been left in the cave..to die. SERVES HIM RIGHT! (mean girl face >_<)

Drum roll please.....KATHERINE IS BACK!

Katherine by some miracle of the unknown makes herself look like Elena and then cuts Jeremy's wrist to feed Silas! Katherine you EVIL BITCH!

While feeding on Jeremy Silas snaps Jeremy's neck..............and Jeremy dies.........

I'm sorry but I have to pause there to say, PLEASE DON'T LET JEREMY BE DEAD!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE VAMPIRE DIARIES GOD DON'T LET JEREMY BE DEAD! *crying buckets of tears*

That's where the episode ends and now we wait till next week.

Is Silas alive? Where did Katherine run too? What will Klaus do? But most importantly IS JEREMY ALIVE??????????????????????????????????

My heart can't take all of these emotions..</3

Let us know what you thought of this episode.

Because sometimes Love is letting go

For the Believers and Nonbelievers...

"All along it was a fever A cold sweat high-headed believer. I threw my hands in the air and said, "Show me something," He said, "If you dare come a little closer."

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone who's a high headed believer that love and all its glory is real, that everyone gets a chance to live it, feel it. But what about those who don't believe? Who have been burned countless times because of love, because they let someone in and they left even though they promised that they would never leave, that they would always stay.

But that's love right? It's a risk we all at one point in our life take. The risk of knowing that we could possibly lose ourselves to somebody else, to a stranger who somehow captures us enough that we are willing to give it everything and anything to make it work. But it doesn't always work, too many times we get hurt, we lose, and for what? For a chance to live in pure bliss, even if its for a moment, just a moment of pure bliss isn't that what love is when it works out? Pure bliss.

But that's not to say that we always lose, no some of us, some lucky amount of us they win. They find the people they're supposed to be with and even though there are bumps on the road, sometimes too many to count, they overcome them..together. See the thing about love is that it's a two way street, but too often only one person puts effort while the other just takes without giving. But on rare occasions, you'll find someone who will put just as much or even more than you because they love you, they want to spend forever with you. When someone is meant for you, truly and honestly meant for you they will always find their way to you. They will cherish you, like a gift from the heavens, as if God himself made you for each other

It's nice to dream, to believe that we will all get our own little piece of heaven, and most of the time we do, some sooner than others, but still in the end we do. But what about those of us who spend their life alone? Is it because they had no one to complete them? Is it because their soul mate never made it to them? What went wrong that you never found your other half? Or better yet did something go right that you ended up alone? People always seem to think that if you're alone you're lonely..but truth of the matter is that not everyone wants to be with someone and we need to accept that yes maybe you do have a soul mate and yes maybe you are in love with them but that doesn't mean you're supposed to be with them. I heard once, "just because you're in love with someone doesn't mean you're meant to be together," sad isn't it? That you could fall head over heels in love with someone but you just aren't meant to be together. But sometimes that's whats best and we need to accept it and live with it knowing that maybe all we need is just to be happy being alone, happy knowing that we experienced love and lost it, because it's better to have love and lost than to never love at all right?

"Oh the reason I hold on, oh cause I need this hole gone. Funny you're the broken one but I'm the only one who needed saving. Cause when you never see the light it's hard to know which one of us is caving. Not really sure how to feel about it. Something in the way you move makes me feel like I can't live without you. It takes me all the way. I want you to stay."

Well to make a long post short (ha like if its not long enough haha.) I just want you readers to understand that love as beautiful as it can be can also be disgustingly painful and what comes from it isn't always joy but sometimes sorrow. But either way no matter the outcome you loved, you felt, you lived in those moments you shared with someone you lived. Never be scared to love, to open up, yes the fear of knowing it might not work out or that you will get hurt will always be there but what kind of a life are you living if you don't let yourself feel love and pain? One can't exist without the other, there can't be a rainbow without rain.

"It's not much of a life you're living. It's not just something you take – it's given."

xoxo. O

New Music Tuesday!

James Blake
'Retrograde'

I don't know how many people know about James Blake, be he's a really great artist. He's known more for his beats, and the "Post-Dubstep" movement. But I actually like listening to him sing. If you didn't know, Post Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South East London.

I'm truly loving this song "Retrograde", because it's nothing like what I'm used to hearing from him. It's like he gained extra soul over the past few years. It resembles nothing of the current "post-dubstep" that I've been exposed to. After his Enough Thunder EP, I was definitely hooked to James Blake.
According to his website, his second album. Overgrown, will be released April 8th. I will be on iTunes April 7th at 11:59pm .

Check out Retrograde, and let me know what you think!

Imagine Dragons
'Night Visions'

Today, Imagine Dragons released the Deluxe Version of their  album Night Visions. You might've heard their songs "It's Time" or "Radioactive", but my favorite on the album is "My Fault".
What I like about Imagine Dragons, is that their sound is different. Not like something I've heard before. Most of their songs, I can get up and dance too (if I wanted), or you can relax.

Currently, Imagine Dragons is on tour, but sadly most dates are sold out. (Including Maryland -__- )
Click here to see their Tour List.

White Trash Beautiful by Teresa Mummert

"I’m not naive. I know I don’t get the happily ever after. My knight in shining armor took the highway detour around this god forsaken shit hole. I've made peace with that. That doesn't mean I’m going to lay down like a doormat and let every cocky prick in the trailer park have his way with me."

Cass hasn't always had the easiest life, as a matter of face she has the farthest thing from an easy life. Her mother lost is after her father passed away and became a drug addict, her once prince charming Jax has also let their surroundings and the tough life get the best of him and has become a user to the max. Jax used to be her hero, Cass thought he was her one, but that quickly changed and then she met him.

Tucker is beautiful, all rock star and deliciously beautiful. He just happens to stop by the diner that Cass works at and the moment he sees her, he knows she's the one. But Cass isn't stupid, good things don't happen to people like her, or at least that's what she thinks. But Tucker is different, with him she feels alive, safe, loved.

But things happen that change EVERYTHING!

Cass needs to learn to trust and Tucker refuses to let her go..

It was an amazing story, I hated that it ended and the sequel isn't coming out till JANUARY 2014!!!!!! UGH the struggle to wait, but it will be totally worth it to read more about Cass and Tucker.

HOPELESS By Colleen Hoover

Image from Authors Goodreads
I don't know how she does it, but she did it again. Colleen Hoover words are a drug, and I'm addicted. I pushed off reading HOPELESS because everyone was talking about the book like it was the only thing in the world that existed. Well, now I know what I was missing. It completely blew me away, and I want to read it over, and over again.
"Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies..."
Sky, a seventeen-year old who has been home-schooled and technology deprived her entire life, must have the best luck in the world. Karen, her adopted mom, is a technology-hating vegan. Her best friend Six, who's real name is actually Seven, is leaving for Italy as a foreign exchange student for six months. Then there's Holder. Dean Holder.

Once the two of them met, there was instant connection. As the reader, you can feel that pull, that instant chemistry.

The odd thing for Sky was, she didn't get that--butterfly in the stomach, knees weak-- kind of feeling for guys. But somehow, Holder changed everything for her. He was there for all her life's ups and downs, which coincidentally, were all happening at the same time.
“I swear I will spend every last breath thanking you for allowing yourself to love me.”
It was amazing how their love was so passionate, and real. I was "shipping" their relationship by the time I was half-way through the book.

If you only read one book in your life, please make sure its HOPELESS.
“Fuck all the firsts, Sky. The only thing that matters to me with you are the forevers.”

How many times have we been that person?
The one who cries behind closed doors?
The one who love to the point of pain.
The battles we fight, the sadness we try to hide. Eventually it all comes tumbling down, we can't bottle it all up and hope that if its not seen its not real. Pain, sadness, fear...whatever the bad is. We can only concur it if we face it.

The Vampire Diaries Recap 4x13

OH EM GEE

My feelings right now are in a glass case of emotions! WOW!

First of all Delena...I want to believe that Elena is honestly in love with him because I'm personally Team Damon and feel like he deserves to be happy, but why is she always trying to change the people she loves? She wants to be with him and grow old together as humans but why can't she just stay a vampire with him instead? Why is she so selfish?!

Stebakah ! Seriously though?! Stefan you have to realize that you're falling for her. Rebekah isn't the bad guy they say, after all she pointed out that Elena has killed TWO of her brothers not one but TWO, yes I know Rebekah drove Elena off the bridge but it was to save her family and in all honesty she's right, we would all do that to save those that we care for.

Pause before I continue how could I forget to mention the episode started out within the first 10/15 mins of it Rebekah pointed out why everyone but Elena was useful for the mission and to me the most important person was Damon..because he has a nice butt. (swoon), YASSSS girlll I love Damon and his butt, so I'm totes all for Rebekah even more now. ;)

Ok continuing, Jeremy has seriously turned into a hot piece of vampire hunting stuff! Rawr.

Bonnie still scares me, so I don't even want to know what's going to happen next episode because professor shady pants has really done it now. Speaking of him, he's so lucky that Damon didn't kill him, I guess he should thank Elena for that (she was finally useful for something, only took her 13 episodes but whatever lol.)

Oh how could I forgot my poor Damon gets his neck cracked by not just anyone but other than an ONE OF THE FIVE original vampire hunters.

OHHH and one more thing where are April and Matt? I wonder how the humans are doing in Mystic Falls without them...

OH BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!

Tyler was seen tonight, in my opinion his appearance wasn't very necessary, but it's always nice to see a werewolf here and there right? ;)

KLORALINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG that scene was INTENSE, I have never been a fan of Caroline unless Klaus was involved and wow tonight Caroline made me like her a lot. What she said to Klaus was amazing, I know she's in love with him, whether she wants to admit it or not.

Next episode is seriously going to be great I can already feel it.

Let us know what you thought about tonight's episode

Suddenly Sexy

OMG! I'm in love with Jesse Chapman! Seriously golf isn't my thing, but give me a golfer like him and I'll play, watch, whatever it takes to be with him.

Notorious bad boy (of golf of all things) Jesse Chapman was good looking with a swing that could take Tiger Woods for a run for his money. Golfing was his life, but so was women and liquor...but now Jesse was a hero, or at least that what others thought of him, not so much what he thought of himself.

Katherine Bloom at 27 was still trying to figure out who she was(like most of us women, huh?), but it all got more complicated when Jesse the love of her life comes back into town like a gust of wind. Katie has been in love with Jesse since..well all her life actually. Jesse was her savior everything she needed and wanted, he was always there for her, saving her, her own hero. But Now little Katie isn't so little and Jesse realizes that his little innocent Katie is now sexy, courageous Kate, and he's attracted to her, kind of like he's always been since she was 14 and he was 18, but now it's getting harder for him to resist her.

But Jesse doesn't just come back to town for a visit, no there's more to it, with a secret of his own and one that he doesn't even know about, his life gets turned upside down and so does Kate's when pushed by her best friend Julia to let Jesse stay at her guest house.

So many time we try to protect the ones we care, but when is it time to stop protecting them and protect yourself?

Suddenly Sexy was such a cute story about finding yourself, letting go of things you can't change and realizing that love can concur all. It's crazy how I've had this book for years and never read it until now, and I'm so happy I did. Definitely a great little read, I completely recommend this, ladies please keep it together though cause Jesse Chapman is one hot golfer. ;)

When Do You Know?

How many times do we wish we could just get over something that is hurting us? I mean we tell ourselves that it will all get better in time, but how much time? How much time do we need to feel the pain for? Hours, days, weeks, months, or even worst years? When do you know it's time to just let go? Is it when you wake up and no longer feel anything, and how does that work? Because no matter what we will always feel something, whether small or big, we will always feel something for whoever or whatever hurt us, because I mean they only hurt us because we let them.

I read in a book, "You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you." (Augustus Waters, The Faults in Our Stars)

So why do we let ourselves get hurt, knowing that it can take forever, or at least what feels like forever, to get over it.

But a better question, what made us want to give the person who hurt us the right to do it? We trusted them enough to let them in and they hurt us, is it a lesser pain when we chose who hurts us? Are we masochists because of that? Because we know that there's a chance for pain and we welcome it.

I know we need it, because pain lets us know that we're alive, that we can feel, because too many times those moments of happiness seem more like memories or dreams than reality, but pain..pain is felt for so long, for too long.

Top 10 Romantic Male Actors

Oh my goodness. Watching this gave me an even bigger appreciation for the male specimen. I was over at Huffington Post reading their article on America's Most Romantic City, and they had this video. I have to ask, who's job is it at WatchMOJO to put this together, and how do I get that job. I would love to sit and debate on who is the most romantic.

New Music Tuesday

FALL OUT BOY IS BACK!

Image from Tumblr
I don't know about you guys, but when we found out, we almost died! Everyone one knows I have this slight crush on Patrick Stump. Okay more than slight...but can you really judge me? I think not! This is a great 2013 already with all the new comebacks, but I think this is the most exciting one yet. Ending their more than three-year hiatus, the boys are back with a new album ("Save Rock and Roll"), and released their new single "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)". I don't know about you, but I love this song. It reminds me of the old FOB, which means they are sticking to what they know. *Cue Fan-Girl Squeal* But what threw me for a loop was, if you watch the video, 2-Chainz has a feature. Who knew that FOB was cool with 2-Chainz?

Also, Fall Out Boy has released their tour date schedule. Click Here

*Save Rock and Roll will be available worldwide May 6th and 7th.

Well watch the video here, and then let me know what you think.

Lady Antebellum Has a New Single:

Omg this song. I've listened to this song more than I should of today alone. I downloaded it (from iTunes) at 9am this morning, and it has 37 plays right now. This to me, is a new sound for them and I love it.  I'm counting down until the release of their new album, which should be around early 2013. No confirmation on what the new album will be called yet. Cross your fingers Lady Aers, hopefully the album will be out sooner rather than later.

Here is the lyric video for Downtown. Watch it, and let me know what you think.

Thirty Seconds to Die By: S. G. Holster

“Will you die for him?”
- S. G Holster, Thirty Seconds to Die

Image from Author's Goodreads
*Reviewer Disclaimer: Before I review this, I must mention Paranormal Fiction is not my specialty, but I took a step outside my box and read Thirty Seconds to Die.

In the Preface we meet a mysterious girl. The deep voice repeatedly asked her the same question, “Will you die for him?” This is when we meet Ren. At this point we don’t know much about them or their relationship, but we know it has to be a serious bond for someone to give their life away.

In the beginning, we meet Lexi, a seventeen year-old who’s mentally and emotionally recovering from a vicious attack from her past. We learn that Ren is actually a new student at Lexi’s school, and for some reason unknown to her, they have an instant connection. But as the reader, you suspect that Ren has some knowledge about why.

Every night, Lexi has this reoccurring dream. In the dream, she’s about seven or eight, and she’s with a little boy who’s a few years older. He does this thing with her where they lock pinkies together, and tells her, “My dad says that when we die our soul becomes a star.” Was it a coincidence that Ren did the same thing, and mentions a story about the Northern Lights?

“The Inuit people believe that the lights are souls on their way to a second life. Part of the myth is that the soul only has thirty seconds to die. If there’s a force strong enough, like enduring love, the soul will be drawn back to the earth.”

Lexi knows Ren is keeping something from her, but whenever she questions him about something, he has an answer prepared. But after the night at the dance, everything changed. Ren declared his love for her, and confirmed her suspicions of him knowing her from somewhere.

Ren explains to her that those dreams are real. That they are actually memories from her past, and the more that they are together, the easier it will be for her to remember. But then Ren tells her about the Sentori, and how they are after him. The Sentori’s job is to kill any reborn soul, and now that they’ve acknowledged the fact that Ren is a reborn, they have to kill him. But the Sentori doesn’t know about Lexi. The only choice Ren has is to leave Lexi behind. But he only leaves on the promise that one-day, he will come back for her, and that she never forget who he is.

But this is when the fun really begins in the book. Lexi’s position has been compromised, and the Sentori are officially after her. She has the flee them, and make her way to London where Ren is waiting for her. They spend most of the book running from the Sentori. She finally learns the whole truth after their trip to Zürich.

The further the story progressed; I was hoping Lexi would learn to trust her instincts, instead of questioning everything. I think at the end, she learned to look past her fears, and stand up.

I won’t tell you what else happened. But I really encourage you to read this book. The story of Ren and Lexi is inspiring when it comes to the matter of love. This book is full of car chases, romances and adventure, the ups and downs of love; lies, but also truths. I’m glad I had a chance to explore the depth of this book. It took a little time before it really got into the core of the plot. But it is worth the read. It might’ve changed my bias of paranormal fiction also.

We’ll see when the continuance comes out sometime Fall of 2013.

The Fault In Our Stars By: John Green

“My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.”
-Augustus Waters
Image from Author's Goodreads Profile
Hazel has cancer. I won’t sugar coat it and I won’t try and make it seem like she’s not going to die, because at the end we all die. No matter what, that’s life and every life ends, even if it isn’t by a disease. But this isn’t a cancer book, because cancer books suck! This is a book about life, love, and seeing things in a way that we cannot when we’re down or even up. At thirteen Hazel is diagnosed with stage IV thyroid cancer, she knows that she is going to die but doesn’t know when. She gave up trying to live a life of a normal 16 year old that is until she met Augustus Waters, 17, beautiful and full of life and also a cancer survivor of osteosarcoma. This book isn’t like your regular boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after book. No, this book is honest. Honest in the kind of way you don’t want it to be because you know that sometimes we don’t get a happily ever after. But if you’re lucky you can at least get moments of forever in the days that are counted. Augustus isn’t Prince Charming, he doesn’t have the power to make everything right but he gives Hazel love, the kind of love we all want to experience even if we know it won’t be forever. But then again what is time?  Time is just a slut who screws everyone. The thing about pain is that it demands to be felt, we can’t avoid it or forget it. It’s always with us but we need it. Because without pain how would we know joy?
John Green did an amazing job with this story. It was funny and heart-warming.  It was sad and honest. Simply put it was amazing. I do advice a box or five of tissues because you will cry, maybe for an hour or maybe like me who’s been crying for about 5 hours. Either way, read it.
5 perfect stars.
