The Vampire Diaries 4x12 recap

WHOAH! Pause. Lets start by breathing.

This episode was CRAZY INTENSE!

Where do I even begin? Rebekah and Stefan... Stefan please stop hurting her. Even though Rebekah might be a little evil, bitter, totally crazy at times she's got such a beautiful soul overall. I love her Stefan, and if you can't be happy with her, at least don't use her!

Klaus and Damon in the dungeon --is that what Stefan calls it? Oh well, that's what I'll call it. Anyways..when Klaus asked Damon how Elena could forgive him after everything he's done? Damon told him the truth, and truth be told if you're going to be bad, be bad with a purpose. Even blood-drained and locked away Damon is everything!

Elena is a failure of a vampire! Seriously! She just makes everything worst! GO AWAY ELENA! NO ONE CAN BE HAPPY WHEN YOU'RE AROUND! (evil/angry face)

Uhm...oh yeah. KOL IS DEAD! Yup that's right, Elena's genius idea to kill an ORIGINAL actually happen. Now for those of you who are new to the show, killing an original is NOT good.

Klaus will get his revenge and EVERYONE will pay. Tsk. Tsk. Elena look what you started...

Another thing..CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THEY SEND MATT TO DO THINGS THAT COULD GET HIM KILLED?!!!! Matt is the ONLY human that matters in that show and could easily be killed yet they send him to try and retrieve a dagger from an ORIGINAL!! How is that smart?!

An angry witch is bad...an angry Bonnie is worst. *SNAP* talk about a family reunion. When Bonnie's parents get together to try and stop her, well lets just say they failed.

Oh and to top it off, Damon punches Stefan in the face! Not for nothing to all my Stelena fans, but Stefan totally deserved that punch!

Pow! Right in the kisser.

Seriously this episode was GREAT! So many emotions, moments, details. Agh loved tonight's episode.

Tell us what you thought about it.

xoxo O

Entwined With You

Well it's out! The cover of the highly anticipated third book in the crossfire series "Entwined With You".

Finally our Gideon and Eva will be back. The book is set to come out June 4th, 2013!

I personally tweeted Sylvia Day and asked her if that's the OFFICIAL day of release because I CAN NOT take another push back for that book. So it is confirmed by Sylvia Day that it is the OFFICIAL date. Finally thank you baby Jesus no more pushing it back.

So just 5 more months...we can make it right? I mean we've gone this long!

Okay maybe we'll go crazy and throw hissy fits but at least we can distract ourselves with other book hunks and fall in love till our Mr. Cross comes back. ;)

xoxo O

John Green: The Worlds New Favorite Author?

John Green - [Image from NPR.org]
The Faults In Our Stars author is the hottest thing out there right now. He's currently holding THREE spots on the New York Times Young Adult Best Sellers list for the week of February 3, 2013, and I'm sure he's not stopping there.

His most recent novel, The Fault in Our Stars (Oriana's favorite), took the No. 2 slot while Looking for Alaska came in at No. 5, and Paper Towns held at No. 11.

But what is it about his books that has everyone falling head over heels in love with them?

Me personally, I've never read his books (they're on my to-read list), so I can't answer that question. But I know Oriana has, so I asked if she could give us an explanation.

She responded, "The best way for me to explain why people are so in love with John Green's writing is because he brings the characters to life. When I read The Faults In Our Stars, I swear Augustus, Hazel and Isaac were people I knew. Someone I went to high school with.

Their characteristics were so real. Their banter, their sarcasm, their out look on life. It's almost as if he captures moments, people, and time in a book so you can go back and re-live it. They weren't characters that were billionaires and impossibly good-looking (although they were hot), they were people hot. Not hot like an Adonis (good-looking, without being impossibly good-looking), but hot like normal people are hot. Only a great author could write about it, you know?

He doesn't just write to give you a book, but he writes so that you can feel it.  When you're done with his book, it's almost like a memory you never knew you knew. It has been revived in your memory, and you'll never forget it again. It's almost magical. And as humans we don't see or believe in magic much. It's amazing."

So we see why she love's John Green, but why do you? What was it about his story-telling abilities that hooked you? Leave a comment below and let us know what you think.

Flat-Out Love by: Jessica Park

“It’s not what you know—or when you see—that matters. Its about the journey.”
 -Flat-Out Love, Jessica Park

Julie Seagle must have odd luck. She’s starting school in Boston, but doesn’t have anywhere to live because the housing she picked out was a scam. Her mom calls a favor to a friend from college, who lets Julie stay with them. Julie soon finds out that the Watkins family is a strange bunch. The mother Erin, is emotionally distant and always gone. The father is never there, a true workaholic. Matt, the second-oldest son is a student at MIT with massive social issues. Then we have Celeste. Celeste is a 13 year-old girl who walks around with a flat version of her eldest brother Finn. Celeste has serious separation issues from “Flat Finn”, and the family ignores the fact that she using “Flat Finn” as a coping mechanism for her brother not being there. Julie meets Finn via Facebook, because he’s always “traveling”, and can never make it back to visit. Throughout the story, Julie’s relationship with Finn progresses as she messages him on Facebook. But the best part has to be some of the Facebook statuses.

“If you can't stop thinking about someone's update, that's called "status cling.”
“I 'Facebook like' you, but I'm not IN 'Facebook like' with you.”

Personally, I would classify this book as weird and entertaining, just like the Watkins family. The romantic relationship in this book isn’t like most of the romances out now. It was like relationships we had back in high school. He has a crush, but doesn’t know how to show it. She's in-love with the older brother; equalling all types of dysfunctionality. The story was a big psychological fest of proportions. I was probably diagnosing everyone in this book with some kind of disorder, which was pretty fun by the way.

So check out this book and let us know what you think.

Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour) By: Olivia Cunning

IM IN LOVE WITH BRIAN SINCLAIR!

Omg if rock stars could all be sweet and beasts in bed, well you could slap me with mascara and call me a groupie. Ugh Brian is the rockstar of my dreams! After being hurt so many times he finally meets the woman of his dreams. She sparks something in him, with her it's different, his muse, his lover, his everything.

Myrna is sexy, smart, and insatiable! Like all good women should be and when she meets the lead guitarist of the Sinners band she falls and she falls hard! But her past still has a hold on her and she can't seem to shake it, shake him..

Great story! Loved every band member and especially loved Brian of course.

But I will warn you this is not a book for the faint of heart or virgins (no offense) I definitely needed a cold shower or 5 after this one. Phew.

Definitely love me a sinner ;)

Back to School

We all know it's about that time for college students to go back to school. Here's some advice from a current college student: RELAX. I see a lot of people getting worked up, and all you need to do is relax. Take good notes, do your homework, and lastly...STUDY! Studying helps. I promise. If you don't know something, don't be afraid to ask a teacher for help, and if you're embarrassed, e-mail is a good option. If you're a new freshman starting Spring '13, congratulations for making it this far. Join clubs, take up a sport, make new friends. Do something. Remember, it's harder to bring up a low GPA, than dropping it.

Have fun this semester, make me proud!

Destiny's Child is Back!

We've got Justin, but now Destiny's Child! What a 2013 already! With them working on their new compilation album, they dropped a new single for us! Their first single is called "Nuclear", which reminds me of an old school jam. Produced by Pharrell, and partly written by Michelle, it's definitely a new sound for them.

The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight

OMG! First let me say that I'm trying so hard to keep in my tears. Not because it's sad or because I'm angry but because it was so sweet. Have you ever just cried from something being so sweet, that you can't help the tears haha.

The story line is beyond adorable, Hadley is off to London to see her father get married again, against her own wishes might I add. But she misses her first flight and has to take the second one (which is cutting it pretty close to the wedding ceremony) and that's where it all starts where she meets him, Oliver.

Oliver is sweet, handsome & fascinating. He's funny in the best way, he makes her laugh and forget all the anger an sadness she's feeling and also her fear of claustrophobia. But Oliver has his own issue but he doesn't let it be known because he rather help Hadley.

Suit & Tie - Justin Timberlake

I'm sure we're all excited that JT is back. Have you heard his new single Suit & Tie? Personally, I love it. But I've always loved JT! Maybe married life is good for him after-all. His new album is called "The 20/20 Experience" and is due sometime later this year. But until then, here's his new single:

Skin Deep By: Pamela Clare

Such a good story!!!! An honorable marine, a mother with a horrible past. Two people who don't think they deserve love but when they find each other nothing is impossible.

Ok, first off I LOVE NATE! Seriously, a man who is selfless, kind, generous and good looking...plus he was a marine! Burns or no burns I would stick with him till the end. I hated his fiance for leaving him even though she was only mentioned in the book for like 5 seconds I still hated her for leaving him when he needed her the most.

Now lets talk about Megan, shes a good woman with a bad past, I won't give away what she did because that defeats the purpose of reading it but know that she's an amazing mother who deserves happiness and even more than that she deserves love. Men have hurt her in the past, but she'll do whatever to make sure that Emily (her daughter) has a better childhood than she did.

But what happens when her past and her present collides? Donny has no idea that Megan is stronger now, she's no longer the weak little girl she once used to be. He also has no idea that Nate would do anything for her and Emily...anything at all to keep them safe.

Great love story, great plot, overall a great read. Loved it <3

The calm before the storm..

Too many times people don't appreciate what or who they have in their life. They walk all over you, never acknowledging their faults or praising your growth. There comes a certain time in your life when you will either accept it or change it. This is for those of you who are unappreciated, who go unnoticed, who help those who don't deserve it. It's time to ask yourselves, will it always be like this? Or will you rise up to the personal challenge of putting your foot down and being heard! It's time, the storm is coming and the calm will soon be gone.

The First Post. . . .

I can’t write and explain us to you, because for you to understand, you would have to know us. This blog isn't a big blog consisted of little things, no on the contrary this is a little blog consisted of a lot of big things! We aren't here to make you fall in love with the idea of love, or even read the same book we do because we loved it. We’re here to share our ideas, and if we’re lucky you’ll like who we are and what we’re about. T and I are two of a kind, ying to my yang. It’s a rare moment in life when you meet someone who understands you, and not just the surface version of you, but the down to the core version of you. This blog will represent that, who I am , who Tanisha is, and who we are as two friends, college students, daughters, but most importantly who we are as young adults trying to find our way.

Welcome to the little piece of us…
